About Lejaan

We are perfectionists for whom every detail matters. From the bolt of fabric, through individual seams, to the finished product – every centimeter of fabric passes through the hands of our seamstresses. We are convinced that the so-called human factor is the key to success. That's why we sew our bedding in intimate workshops, where we continue artisanal traditions, nurture personal relationships, and monitor the production process at all its stages.

Behind the creation of each collection lies a complex process, and it all begins with colors. Our creative director designs them after deep reflection on the stories they can evoke and her own inspirations. In the next step, we develop the fabric structure, which we then tirelessly test. In this regard, we can count on the support of, among others, the Faculty of Textiles at the Technical University of
Liberec.

Our goal is to seek more sustainable yet practical solutions that benefit our customers without harming the natural environment. We are constantly expanding our offer with eco-friendly materials, eliminating unnecessary elements such as zippers or buttons, thereby reducing our environmental impact. This is an ongoing process to which we at Lejaan dedicate a lot of attention and energy.

We primarily focus on natural, high-quality fabrics from verified sources. Our organic cotton meets strict ecological production standards, meaning its cultivation takes place without the use of pesticides and other chemicals. Innovative Tencel™ Lyocell is made from wood raw materials from renewable sources, uses less water during production, and is biodegradable. The goose down used in our fillings is of high quality and comes from certified, ethically run farms.

One of the unique methods we use in bedding production is fabric tearing. This allows us to maintain the strict alignment of warp and weft threads, which is crucial for preventing seams from twisting. This type of deformation is a common result of cutting fabric by the meter, a technique widely used in mass production and industrial facilities. Although tearing is more demanding, it is an essential step for us on the path
to perfection.

SUPPLIER SELECTION

When building a supply chain, we emphasize transparency, shared values, openness to innovation, and the ability to build long-term relationships. Thanks to this approach, we are constantly developing, increasing the efficiency of the production process, as well as the quality of our products. We strive to cooperate primarily with local suppliers, and if this is not the case for some products, it is always the result of a conscious, well-thought-out decision.

ORIGIN OF PRODUCTS

We produce bedding in the Czech Republic, as well as fillings from the Classic line. We also sew goose down duvets and pillows here, but the down itself is sourced from certified European farms, mostly Polish. Fillings from the Comfort line are also made in Poland. Terry cloth products are sewn in Turkey – due to their experience, production facilities, and the quality of cotton from there. We import silk from China, as its production has a long tradition there thanks to favorable climatic conditions.
